The Nebraska Supreme Court on Friday affirmed a Lincoln man's conviction and sentence of 60 years to life in prison for shooting his neighbor to death in response to a minor car accident.

The judge committed Samuel Peyrot to the Lincoln Regional Center. However, he remained at the county jail Monday, with an average wait time to get in currently at 74 days.

The now 18-year-old, who is a railroad fan, posted a cellphone video of the derailment to YouTube and got more than 300,000 views.
