An interesting decision at a glaring need.

The New Orleans Saints got exactly what they needed in pick no. 14 in round one of the 2024 NFL Draft, selecting Oregon State tackle Taliese Fuaga.

The New Orleans Saints added depth to their defensive back room at pick no. 45 in the second round, selecting Alabama cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry.

Tipton is from Akron, OH where he attended Archbishop Hoban High School. Tipton was a three-time state champion in football and earned first-team all-league as well as first-team all-region in his senior season. Tipton would spend five years at Yale playing four seasons of football (no season in 2020 due to COVID). In his career, Tipton finished third in school history in receiving touchdowns with 19, fifth in receptions with 132 and sixth in yards with 2,067. He was also a three-time All-Ivy selection.

Bradford is from Helotes, TX and attended O’Connor High School after transferring from Fork Union Military Academy. Bradford was a three-star recruit coming out of high school and was regarded as the No. 54 safety prospect in the country. He would then go on to TCU where he’d spend five years with the Horned Frogs. Over his last three seasons, Bradford became an extremely consistent player at the position amassing over 160 tackles, 15 pass deflections, 4 interceptions and 2 scores.

With the NFL’s schedule release coming up this Wednesday, a frequent topic that has come up in recent weeks is what might the 2024 schedule look like for the New Orleans Saints? With the departure of former head coach Sean Payton and long-time quarterback Drew Brees, it seems like the Saints are no longer one of the more enticing teams to watch in the NFL. So, it is likely that we will see another season with minimal prime-time games once again. What the team does have though are some games that Saints fans, players and even coaches will definitely have circled on their calendars at the end of this week.

There are a couple of stretches that we will consider here.

With the schedule being revealed recently, many of us highlighted important matchups and gave our record predictions for the team. The consensus around New Orleans Saints media as well as the fan base, projects the team to win somewhere between 7-10 games this season. This makes a lot of sense considering their results in these last couple of seasons and where they currently stand as a team.

The moving on from WR Michael Thomas and QB Jameis Winston gives the team some cap relief going forward.
