Wisconsin travelers have this holiday season marked as their last call before the REAL ID enforcement kicks in, and according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), beginning May 7, 2025, they will need a REAL ID-compliant driver license or state ID card to board domestic flights or access federal facilities and military bases, this enforcement being part of a broader effort to heighten security and combat identity fraud as mandated by the 2005 federal REAL ID Act.
