This was a game the Patriots should have won. They shot themselves in the foot again with five trips into the Red Zone and they came away with just 2 TDs.

Here we are at the bye week, and I am going to look back on the previous 13 weeks and report on what I have seen. The Bye Week is coming so late in the season that it really won’t help that much. The team looked tired against the Colts, especially on Defense. All teams have bumps and bruises over the course of the season, and that has built up for the Patriots over a longer period without a break.

Coming off the bye week the Patriots travel West to play the 6-7 Arizona Cardinals. The Cards enter the game with the #12 ranked Overall Offense with 348 yards a game. Passing they rank 22 nd with 208.2 yards a game and Rushing they are #6 with 139.8. In the Red Zone they convert at a 51.2% rate which is 24 th in the league. The Patriots came to play today, and the players left it all on the field today. They stunned Buffalo with a quick start and a 14-0 lead and dominated the 1st Quarter, allowing Buffalo just 3 minutes of possession on 6 plays for just 11 yards.

The Patriots come home to finish off the season with a pair of games against quality, playoff bound teams. This Saturday, the Patriots host the Los Angeles Chargers. The Chargers are under the guidance of 1 st year Head Coach Jim Harbaugh. He has them playing very tough despite a rash of injuries.

Embarrassing from the coaches to the players and to the front office. Everyone got to see what Eliot Wolf gave away in Ladd McConkey (8 catches, 94 yards and 2 TDs). The fans booed them off the field at the end of the game. “They stink” according to Scott Zolak on the 98.5 Sports Hub broadcast.

Since we just did a preview of the Bills two weeks ago, writing a preview of them again would be a waste of time and effort. Instead, I will concentrate on the significance of the game.

Jerod Mayo was relieved as head Coach of the Patriots by Robert Kraft 90 minutes after the Patriots won their final game versus the Buffalo Bills.
