These are two of the best teams in Houston, and it will be interesting because Summer Creek is a defensive team, and Hightower is an offensive team.

The match saw an explosive start from the Indians, driving into the red zone and striking first blood with a touchdown. Despite valiant efforts, the Hornets struggled to find their footing in this lopsided contest, with the match ending 24-14 in favor of the Indians, propelling them into the semifinals.

Both teams have suffered only one loss each this season, marking them as two of the state’s top teams. It has been some time since either team reached the state championships, so I am eagerly anticipating this decisive semifinal matchup.

In the Round 5 6A Division 1 State Semifinal game on December 9th, 2023, in Waco, TX, the Summer Creek Bulldogs faced off against the Cibolo Steele Knights. Summer Creek emerged victorious with a final score of 38-14. This win marked Summer Creek’s first time in both the semifinals and now the state championships in the school’s history.

Texas High School Football is finally back! In Houston, Texas, on Thursday Night, August 29th, 2024, the season opened between two great teams: the Atascocita Eagles and the Lamar Texans. Last season, these two teams faced off during the playoffs, and the Atascocita Eagles came out victorious with a score of 34-14.

The North Shore Mustangs vs. the South Oak Cliff Bears is a battle between Houston and Dallas. Last season, both teams made it to the state championship finals in each of their divisions: South Oak Cliff lost to the Port-Neches Grove Indians 20-16, and North Shore lost to the Duncanville Panthers 49-33. Both teams are coming off a runner-up position last year and are looking to get back to the championship game and win this year.
