The National Weather Service Quad Cities says strong to severe storms are expected across eastern Iowa and northwest Illinois as a warm front travels north.

After a distemper outbreak depleted resources from the rescue during the winter, It Takes a Village is at risk of closing its shelter facilities.

Severe storms with hail, heavy rain and high wind impacted most of our viewing region Tuesday. One tornado was confirmed in southeast Iowa.

While no injuries were reported during Tuesday's storms, extensive damage to homes, trees and outbuildings was noted by NWS Quad Cities.

Documents obtained by News 8 show that former City Administrator Corri Spiegel allegedly never wrote a request to the City for the payout.

Camp Genesis runs from June 16-21 at Camp Shalom in Maquoketa. Kids will get to meet others impacted by cancer while enjoying some fun outdoor activities.

The City's statement comes after an email thread dating back to Dec. 15 was released to the public, alleging that the letter never existed.

The venue says it has seen an increase in the number of invalid tickets presented at events.

The case surrounds whether or not a demand letter from former City Administrator Corri Spiegel is subject to Iowa's open records laws.

The risk for severe weather remains relatively low for Friday night before climbing up to a 2 out of 5 risk on Saturday and Sunday.
