TUHS Girls Tennis takes to the practice courts

Building on last year’s Girls Tennis team, with all but three members of last year’s team returning, Taft Union High School Girls Tennis Coach Kim McClanahan has had her squad practicing and taking lessons on Mondays in Bakersfield this summer, at Bakersfield Country Club through the Kern County Tennis Association, and last week added Thursday evening court time from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at Taft’s home courts. Coach McClanahan said the evening drills will continue weekly until the Fall school session starts August 13, and will focus on pre-season drills and conditioning.
