BILLINGS — Cadence Lundgren munched on a piece of celebratory pizza in the Billings Senior High School gym, post-match nourishment for her and her Bozeman Gallatin Raptors volleyball teammates Thursday night.

Two Eastern A rivals will meet in next week's Class A soccer championship, while the boys title match is a rematch of last year's championship game.

Billings Central capped an unbeaten, untied season by defeating Whitefish on a goal in the second half of overtime. The Rams earned their first state championship in 15 years.

Freshman Emerson Dull scored two goals and freshman keeper Lorelai Hutzenbiler had clutch saves both early and late as Central regained the Class A state soccer crown.

BOZEMAN — It's been a quick ascension for the Bozeman Gallatin volleyball team. The Raptors aren't yet at the top of the heap in Class AA, but they're awfully close.

Bozeman Gallatin and Bozeman need 10 sets to decide the Class AA championship. The Raptors won the second championship match 25-22, 12-25, 18-25, 25-23, 15-8.
