Background: The provision of dental care in Pakistan is limited, with less than 5% of the population having access to qualified dental practitioners. The lack of contextually relevant local dental guidelines further adds to the problem. We developed clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) and referral pathways to improve primary care for common oral diseases. Methods: Using the GRADE-ADOLOPMENT approach, recommendations from source guidelines (developed in Europe and the United States) were adopted (retained as is or with minor changes), adapted (modified according to the local context), or excluded (omitted due to lack of local relevance). The guidelines included diseases such as periodontitis, dental pain, intraoral swelling, and oral cavity malignancies. The end result was a set of locally relevant CPGs, which were then used to formulate referral pathways, with the incorporated suggestions being based on a thorough evidence review process. Results: We included four recommendations, three of which were adopted with minor modifications to the referral pathway. These changes focused on assessing potentially malignant oral conditions and counseling for risk factors. No content changes were needed for the CPGs of the other two disorders. We developed referral pathways for three specific oral conditions, detailing primary care physicians' roles in diagnosis, initial treatment, and timely referral. Conclusion: Contextually relevant dental CPGs and referral pathways can improve patient outcomes in Pakistan. Our study produced four additional recommendations focused on risk factor counselling and mitigation, which could potentially reduce the burden of oral malignancies in our local population.

This research presents a thorough analysis and discussions on the effects of different PV models' parameters and certain specific faults on the performance and behavior of the photovoltaic systems under different temperature and irradiation conditions. It provides a detailed analysis of how several parameters affect the performance of the PV arrays, for instance, the series resistance, shunt resistance, photocurrent, reverse saturation current, and the diode ideality factor. These parameters were extracted mathematically and verified with the help of wide-ranging simulations and practical experiments. Additionally, the investigation of the effect of DC faults, including line-to-line, line-to-ground, partial shading, and complete shading faults on PV arrays, provides important fundamentals for fault detection and classification, thus improving the efficiency and protection of PV systems. It can, therefore, be stated that the outcomes of this research will assist in the enhancement of PV systems in terms of design, operation, and maintainability of photovoltaic plants, as well as contribute positively to the advancement of sustainable solar energy technology.

Herein, we describe the design, fabrication, and testing of breathable, washable, and fabric-integrated variants of our composite materials, which demonstrate state-of-the-art adaptive infrared properties and dynamic thermoregulatory functionalities. The combined findings directly advance the performance and applications scope of our bioinspired thermoregulatory composites and ultimately may guide the incorporation of desirable multifunctionality into other wearable technologies.

Women’s career progression and empowerment in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) sectors are critical to attaining SDG 5: Gender Equality because they promote equal access to education, job prospects, and leadership roles, building a more inclusive and equitable society. The purpose of this study is to look into the impact of perceived overqualification (POQ) on career anxiety and career decidedness (CD) among women in STEM disciplines while also considering the function of career identity (CI) and leadership support. With a total sample size of 1,045 participants, two distinct investigations were conducted, one in the educational field (N = 530) and one in an industry setting (N = 515 time-lag). To test the model, the analysis was carried out using the AMOS-24 software program. Our findings show a favorable association between women’s perceptions of overqualification in STEM and their CI. Furthermore, our research shows that a stronger CI among women in STEM corresponds to decreased career anxiety and increased CD. Additionally, we find that a CI is a mediator between POQ and both career anxiety and CD. Our findings also highlight the moderating effect of leadership support in this mediation process. We discuss the theoretical and practical ramifications of these findings.
