The Original Ozark Folk Festival returns Sept. 3-6 to downtown Eureka Springs. Headliners include Steve Poltz, Rainbow Girls, James McMurtry and Beat Root Revival at the Auditorium. Annual events like the Hedgehoppers performance and the Barefoot Ball return this year. Still on the Hill are slated to perform the annual Hedgehoppers Dance while Chucky Waggs and His Company of Raggs and Ponder the Albatross get the crowd moving for the Barefoot Ball (in the Aud's Lower Level). The annual Songwriting Competition and Folk Faire return to Basin Park. The festival also includes an old time community dance, workshops on music and folk dancing. A mix of traveling bands and locals will perform at nearby venues, the line-up includes Creek Rocks, Matt Axton and Bad Moon, Shannon Wurst, Jesse Dean, The Shandies, Meadow Makers and more.
