St. Paul — Minnesota DNR officials met with a citizen-comprised walleye workgroup last week to let its roughly 20 members know that the agency intends to advance a proposal to reduce statewide walleye limits from six to four fish.

Sauk Rapids, Minn. — This past week, Conservation Officer Koleby Dingmann reported that an archery deer hunter in the Sauk Rapids area shot and killed a deer that had escaped from a nearby game farm. The report was in conservation reports that the agency released to the public on Monday, Nov.

Todd Froberg, the Minnesota DNR’s big-game coordinator, said he expects that when all deer-hunting seasons are over this year, total harvest will see about a 5% increase over last year’s take of 158,678 deer. (Stock photo)
