A 25-year-old man was sentenced last week to 15 years to life for recklessly riding a motorcycle and causing a crash in Huntington Beach that killed his passenger in 2021, authorities said.

Deputies doing a welfare check discovered the bodies on Friday night.

The shooting occurred in the 5500 block of Atlantic Avenue on Thursday afternoon.

Baldwin Park police officers responded just before 7 p.m. Thursday to the 4700 block of Bogart Avenue.

At least one person fired shots from the car, killing a 21-year-old man and injuring two others Sunday night.

Both weapons were capable of firing “metallic rounds of ammunition,” police said, without offering further specifics.

The person, a male of unknown age, allegedly pulled a firearm and fired one shot after he was attacked, police say.

The aircraft went into a building, KTLA5 has reported. Evacuations were under way. The number of casualties, if any, is unknown.
