The ANC in KwaZulu-Natal has accused the EFF stuA video making the rounds on social media shows an altercation between two student movements in Durban.

These councillors are part of a group that failed to secure buses for members to attend the party's 10-year anniversary at FNB stadium in 2023.

The party is protesting to demand that three of their six councillors be removed from council.

Party supporters stormed the municipal building in Richards Bay demanding the removal of three expelled EFF councillors.

Mchunu who is also the former KwaZulu-Natal Premier joined the party late last year after leaving the African National Congress (ANC).

Friday afternoon the party announced its top 8 in the KZN province and its regional structures.

The disruption occurred while the party's provincial leader, Willies Mchunu, was addressing supporters outside the Pietermaritzburg Magistrates Court last week.

Last week the five men accused of killing Mkhize and Mzukisi Nyanga in 2021, brought an application to have advocate Lawrence Gcaba removed from the case.

Last week, EFF supporters and their provincial leaders broke a window and damaged a glass door at the municipality during a protest.

The party officially launched its 50th-anniversary celebration programme in Durban on Monday.
