LINCOLN – The year was 1983. Norfolk Catholic rebounded from a losing record in the prior season, and a loss early in the regular season, to qualify for the playoffs for the first time in five years. Once the Knights got that chance to extend its season, they took advantage with back-to-back postseason shutouts to host the school's first-ever state championship game.
LINCOLN – It isn't that long ago that even a traditional power like Norfolk Catholic had to rebuild. Prior to the 2021 season, Norfolk Catholic had went 9-9 in the previous two seasons combined, including a 3-6 record in 2019, and lost its lone playoff game.
