JACKSON, Wyo. — Several town and county offices and businesses will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 25, and Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025, to observe the federal legal holidays of Christmas and News Year’s Day.

JACKSON, Wyo. — The Wyoming Game and Fish Department (WGFD) confirmed the presence of chronic wasting disease (CWD) in a cow elk from Elk Hunt Area 84 in the Jackson region south of Cache Creek.

The Town of Jackson is anticipating that a vacancy on Town Council will arise early next year. On Jan. 6, 2025, the new Mayor and Council will be sworn into office. Once this occurs, Arne Jorgensen’s current Council seat will be vacant. As a first order of business, the new Town Council will consider a process to fill the vacant seat for the remaining two years of the term.

HOBACK, Wyo. — On Wednesday, Dec. 11, the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality (WDEQ) released its final assessment report citing the main causes of elevated nitrate levels in the groundwater in the Hoback Junction area of Teton County.
