The Dolphins have done it again—the kings of false hope, heartbreak artists of the NFL. That's who they are. This team exists purely to dangle hope and optimism in front of its fans, only to yank it away at the last second, leaving us scrambling to pick up the pieces.

Alright, I'm not going to lie, I felt like a bit of an idiot writing that title. But hey, in America, you've got to do what you've got to do to get people to click on a soccer blog, right?

It's not every day you see the NBA's best coach make a rookie mistake, but sometimes even the greats slip up. And I'm here to tell Coach Spoelstra: it wasn't his fault for calling a timeout with none left in the game's final seconds—it was mine. Why? Because I bet on the Miami Heat. Leave it to me, the all-powerful mush, to jinx my own team into the ground. The Heat were up by 2 with 1.8 seconds left, only for the Pistons to score on an inbound lob. In the chaos, Coach Spo called a timeout he didn't have, which ultimately cost us the game—and my bet.

Former Miami Dolphins safety DeShon Elliott didn't hold back in calling out his former team, labeling the Miami Dolphins as "soft as fuck.” As much as I want to jump to the team's defense, I can't disagree. In fact, Elliott just said out loud what most Dolphins fans have been muttering for the last 25 years: the Dolphins have lacked the edge, toughness, and grit that championship teams embody. From the colors of the uniform down to the culture, this team is soft as fuck.

FIFA's rolling out a new way for coaches to challenge calls—meet FVS, or Football Video Support. Unlike the classic Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system (that ucking sucks), which relies on official reviews with tons of cameras, FVS allows coaches themselves to trigger reviews. FIFA's already tested it out in the U20 and U17 Women's World Cups this year and wants to expand it further, pending approval from the International Football Association Board (IFAB).

Coach Gruden is the newest member of the pirate ship, and he wasted no time getting down to business. Today on the Yak, Big Cat had the ENTIRE office line up in front of Coach Gruden to try out for his team. Not to toot my own horn, but I knew I'd make the team before I even stepped in line. Mainly because I'm from Broward County, and any football coach who knows the game knows you don't turn down an athlete from Broward. As far as I'm concerned, it goes Bosa brothers, Calvin Ridley, Jerry Jeudy, Anthony Rizzo, and then Nicky Smokes.

This is why he's the greatest to ever do it. Leave it to Big Cat to use me—Nicky Smokes—and my unique brand of being an idiot as an analogy for Tyrique Stevenson and Matt Eberflus. If you've been living under a rock, I'll post the play below, but for everyone else, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Watching Tyrique Stevenson taunt Commanders fans mid-play is something I could absolutely see myself doing. No surprise there—both Tyrique and I are from South Florida.
