Le Roy, N.Y. – Ahead of the season opening of the Jell-O Gallery Museum, PETA sent a letter today to LeRoy Historical Society Curator Tyler Angora, asking him to shake things up by adding a 5-foot-tall tombstone to the museum as a memorial to the pigs, cows, and other animals whose skin, bones, and connective tissues were used to make the gelatin in Jell-O. If the museum agrees, PETA has offered to sweeten the deal with a giveaway of Jell-O’s own delicious, gelatin-free vegan puddings at a local school or charity.

Belagavi, Karnataka – A dog who suffered for more than four years with a broken stainless-steel kettle held fast around his neck, not allowing villagers to approach him to remove it, is finally free thanks to rescuers from Animal Rahat —a PETA-supported animal protection charity in India. Spotted along a road in the northwestern region of Karnataka, and now named Chala—which means “resilient” and “tenacious”—he has made a full recovery and is now back, safe and sound, in his community. Boston – With the search for Flour Bakery and Café’s missing mascot, Swirly, heating up, PETA sent a letter today to owner Joanne Chang, with an un cone ventional proposal: PETA will donate a replacement for the giant ice cream cone, provided the eatery agrees to add vegan soft serve at all of its locations—which PETA’s new-and-improved Swirly would cheerfully promote with an updated sign.

New York – After Billie Eilish ignited a heated debate by declaring in an interview that “eating meat is inherently wrong” and that people can’t love animals and eat meat at the same time, a new nationwide blitz of messages in support of the singer’s announcement courtesy of PETA is going up around the country—starting with a sky-high appeal in Times Square. Baltimore – With consumers feeling the pinch of high gas costs, PETA’s Commando Chicks are swooping in to help everyone save money, the planet, and the lives of chickens who are tormented and killed for meat. Dressed in feathered fatigues and combat boots, the radiant regiment will report for duty at the Carroll gas station on Patterson Avenue on Friday, where they’ll fill the first 100 drivers’ tanks with $10 of free gas and get passersby pumped about plant-powered eating by handing out delicious vegan chicken.

Butler, Pa. – Time to churn up the volume! Ice cream-craving kiddos will be jumping for joy at Butler Library on Friday as they scream for free vegan ice cream, courtesy of PETA’s iconic “iScream” truck.
