The Softube Tube-Tech SMC-2B is a digital recreation of the original stereo multiband unit packed with three independent optical stereo compressors. Tube-Tech gear is made by Lydkraft (Danish for Sound Power), a small 6 person company founded in Denmark in the 70s. The Tube-Tech SMC-2B, released in 2000, was the world's first tube multiband compressor.

We had a look at the brand new Electro Harmonix aka EHX overdrive pedal, the Spruce Goose, named after the derisive name critics gave to eccentric billionaire Howard Hughes’ enormous wooden aircraft of the 40s.What we’ve got here is an overdrive pedal based on the break up sound of the 60s Marshall Bluesbreaker amplifiers, what I believe to be the only good sounding Marshall amplifiers.
