CND condemns the escalation in the illegal war on Iran. The US has now carried out over 12 days of repeated bombing of this country, targeting bridges, power plants and desalination plants that supplies water to 10,000 people across many villages. In retaliation Iran has targeted US bases in countries including Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait. Since the start of the war in February, over 3,000 Iranians have been killed and 17 US troops.

The Guardian is investigating crimes committed by US personnel on British soil. In recent weeks they have reported on the cases of Jacob Wulfson, a US fighter pilot who strangled a British woman in his apartment in Cambridge; Tyrion Davis, an American airman who sexually assaulted a British woman in Brandon, Suffolk; and Hannes Marschalek, a US airman who allegedly exposed himself to a 16-year-old girl and four young women in Littleport, Cambridgeshire, in 2022.
