This year’s Hammond Regional Arts Center’s Art of the Cocktail event was out of this world.

Since first hearing the musical “Grease” was being performed at the Columbia Theatre, my chills have been multiplying.

Holy Ghost Catholic Church was blessed this year to resume having their St. Joseph altar. Although last year the church had a modified version, this year is the first time since the pandemic shutdown that Holy Ghost was able to invite their parishioners to eat and enjoy the entire experience.

The sun was shining bright on a perfect spring day, allowing Holy Ghost Catholic Church to carry on their tradition of holding a Stations of the Cross ceremony outside on the Friday before Easter, known as Good Friday.

In a spectacular run of three shows, Holy Ghost Catholic School’s Spirit of the Stage performed Disney’s “Frozen Jr.”

Back by popular demand, Hammond Regional Arts Center hosted its annual membership gala. Held last weekend, this party which was an expression of gratitude for the Arts Center’s supporters, took place in conjunction with the opening of the Marjorie Morrison Sculpture Biennial.

St. Thomas Aquinas High School students have not performed a musical since the pandemic, but that drought ended with the school’s recent production of “Cry-Baby: The Musical.”

This spring has been filled with many end-of-the-school-year celebrations. Included in this line-up was The Southeastern Choir Showcase.
