On December 12,2024, at approximately 1:37 A.M., the Dewitt Police Department and Clinton County SherifFs Office responded to a report of a gunshot victim that was brought into the Emergency Department of Mercy-One Genesis (Dewitt) in a private vehicle. The adult male, who was transported to Mercy-One Genesis,

City Hall, Building and Neighborhood Services, the Administrative office at the Fire Department, and the Administrative office at the Police Department will be closed on Tuesday, December 24, 2024 and Wednesday, December 25, 2024. All phone calls will be returned on Thursday, December 26, 2024, when normal office hours will resume.

The Salvation Army Of Clinton Calling On Local Community To Help Christmas-Season Fundraising Finish Strong

CLINTON, IA – Clinton Community College, one of the Eastern Iowa Community Colleges, is pleased to welcome the artwork of Conor McKinzey to the CCC Library Art Gallery. The exhibit will be in the gallery through January, 2025. The community is invited to visit the gallery at 1000 Lincoln Blvd., Clinton, Iowa. An Artist Reception will be held on Thursday, January 16 from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. The Library Art Gallery was created in 2016 and has showcased a variety of artwork since that time.

In an effort to better align with evolving industry standards and emphasize its core mission of ensuring public safety, the City of Clinton is excited to announce that its Building and Neighborhood Services department will now operate under the name Clinton Fire Department Building Safety Division. This change is part of a larger commitment to improving service delivery and reinforcing the city’s dedication to maintaining a safe, sustainable community for all residents.

On Monday, January 6, 2025, Dore and Associates will begin mobilization of their equipment for the partial demolition of a portion of the former YMCA structure at 480 South 3rd Street. The building addition between the original 1904 building and the swimming pool area will be demolished. This area is reflected in the hashed area below.

In partnership, Grow Clinton and DeWitt Chamber & Development Company will host an Iowa Senate District 35 forum on January 16. The forum will be at Clinton County Satellite Office – DeWitt located at 226 11th St. The forum will be held in the large conference room at 6 pm with doors opening at 5:30.
