Rajeev Chaba, CEO- Emeritus, JSW MG Motor India, on Wednesday, busted the 'myth' that EV sales are not growing and said that the company expects EV sales to increase by 80 per cent. Speaking exclusively to ET NOW, Chaba said that the EV industry has witnessed a rise of 20 per cent in sales volume in the first six months.

Among others, the issue was highlighted by the Bombay Chartered Accountants' Society (BCAS), who have made a representation to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman as well as the chairman, CBDT, urging them to rectify the glitch that has been causing confusion among taxpayers.

A day after Hindenburg Research released a report alleging that SEBI chief Madhabi Puri Buch had stakes in the offshore funds used by Adani, asset management firm 360 ONE, issued a detailed statement reiterating its compliance and added that IPE-Plus Fund 1 made zero investments in any shares of the Adani Group either directly or indirectly.

Unified Pension Scheme: In what will benefit the government employees, the Centre, on Saturday, approved the Unified Pension Scheme for government employees. The move is expected to benefit 23 lakh employees. "50% Assured pension will be given under the scheme," Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said.

The Unified Pension Scheme for Central Government employees was approved by the Union Cabinet on Saturday. Welcoming the move, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Unified Pension Scheme ensures dignity and financial security for government employees.
