The College of DuPage women's basketball team opened up their season at home against Elgin Community College on Nov. 5. Despite trailing 19-25 in the first quarter, the women's team kept battling as they took over the lead 32-28 after the second quarter. The Chaparrals carried their momentum with 19 points in the third quarter and 23 points in the fourth quarter to defeat the Spartans 74-54. Sophomore Makenna Brown led the team with 17 points and 16 rebounds. Adding to the total, sophomore Megan Martinez and freshman Cailey Salerno each scored 14 points, while sophomore Teegan Roach scored 13 points and put up 15 rebounds.

The College of DuPage honored veterans with the Chaps Salute ceremony on Nov. 11, in SRC 2000. Hosted by COD's Veterans Service, the event included a Presentation of Colors by the DuPage Honor Guard, a display of memorabilia from those who served, opportunities for attendees to write cards for veterans and deployed service members and donation collections supporting the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans. The national anthem was performed by Jennifer Jennings and Thomas McInerney, and the presentation featured COD president Christine Hammond speaking about the significance of veterans.

The College of DuPage men's football team made history on Saturday, Dec. 7, by securing their fourth consecutive NJCAA Division III football championship title at the Red Grange Bowl. The Chaparrals triumphed over the Louisburg College Hurricanes with a decisive 31-14 victory.
