MM Lawrence, former Central Committee member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), passed away on Saturday. His political journey was profoundly shaped by the attack on the Edappally police station on the night of 28 February 1950, which occurred during a ban on the Communist Party in Kerala.

Dalits have had a long history of subordination and have been victims of both direct and structural violence. This has, however, also led to the emergence of Dalit movements for self-respect and assertion of their rights. Despite constitutional and legislative safeguards for their rights, cases of violence against Dalits persist. An analysis of the rate of crime against Dalits in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Punjab, and Uttar Pradesh, based on the statistics available in the National Crime Records Bureau reports of 2017–21, reveals that the frequency and intensity of crimes is inversely proportional to the degree of resistance mounted by the Dalits.

This article discusses and designs a hybrid radiator in the THz range with twin port frequency adjustable architecture. The primary benefits of the radiator design are as follows: (i) the use of a cross slot aperture to stimulate silicon ceramic produces circularly polarized waves in the 5.48–5.88 THz range; (ii) the use of a double negative metasurface over the twin port increases the gain value by more than 5.0 dBi (i.e., the antenna gain is 6.0 dBi without metasurface, but 9.0 dBi with metasurface); (iii) the use of the polarization diversity idea improves the isolation value between twin ports by more than 30 dB; and (iv) the working frequency and gain of the radiator can be adjusted based on changes in graphene's chemical potential. The planned THz radiator operates in between 5.2-5.95 THz. This antenna is applicable for sub-THz based 6G wireless communication system.
