Utility crews have made significant progress restoring power around the region over the past 24 hours, with outages now totaling less than a third of what they were at their height. Fewer than 6,000 customers are now without power across the service areas of Kentucky Power, Big Sandy RECC and Licking Valley RECC. That’s down from more than 21,000 on Monday.
