After seven years there’s a new movie in the Alien franchise. Directed by Fede Alvarez (no relation), Alien: Romulus brings the franchise back to a slasher horror. Alvarez had previously directed Evil Dead(2013) and Don’t Breath(2016), so he’s pretty acclimated to scaring people in theaters.

The 21st mainline Call of Duty game released this year, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6(2024). Serving as the sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War(2020), BO6 takes place 10 years after the events of BOCW(2020). The Black Ops series is known for portraying an alternate history full where government conspiracies become gameplay missions.
