Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma rolled out the red carpet for potential investors during the Advantage Assam 2.0 roadshow held in Seoul on Monday.

The Guwahati Press Club has raised concerns over the arrest of a journalist in Assam over his report on the alleged hit-and-run case in the Biswanath district of the state.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma addressed over 160 Japanese business leaders at the Advantage Assam 2.0 Japan roadshow, where he highlighted Assam's economic growth and favourable business environment.

Four boys have been detained in Assam for assaulting a Class 8 student, a Muslim, for refusing to chant "Jai Shree Ram", said the police.

Assam and Tripura share a 263 km and 856 km border with Bangladesh, respectively. Most parts of the international frontiers of the two states have been fenced off, but some areas still remain unfenced.

Police from Bishalgarh Women Police Station rescued the victim after receiving information about the incident and brought her to the station for safety and initial inquiry.

Himanta Sarma said the Assam government will construct a permanent assembly building in the city, located on the southern bank of Brahmaputra.

"Babasaheb Ambedkar's name was not there in the first list of members of Constituent assembly who were to draft the constitution," Chief Minister Himanta Sarma said
