Joined this week by good friend and host of the “After Reality” podcast, Courtney Robertson. A lot to talk about with Courtney this week but, yes, we spend the first 25 minutes or so on the Taylor/Travis engagement because it’s basically the US’ verson of the royal wedding. A fun time this week as I’m joined by the director of the new movie “The Wrong Paris,” Janeen Damian, which was released last week on Netflix. It’s a movie about a reality dating show starring Miranda Cosgrove that I’m sure you’ll enjoy if you watch any Bachelor programming. “UnReal” was excellent. So was the indie movie “HIM” which came out recently. Those were a little darker looks at a reality dating show. This is a much more fun look as it’s in the rom-com category, so it’s light hearted and quite funny. First time guest this week as Pascal Ibgui from Joan’s season of the “Golden Bachelorette” joins me. One of the most memorable characters we’ve ever had on this show as Pascal takes us through his upbringing in Paris, deciding to move to the states at the age of 22 with no money, no family, and not knowing the language, to owning his salon for the last 40 years, to getting cast on Joan’s season, what made him eliminate himself, what changes he would make to the franchise and much, much more. We’ve had one of my favorites Jacqueline on this podcast numerous times before, but never has she come on with the “Doctor” title in front of her name. Well, now it’s official. Jacqueline got her PhD from Duke University a few months ago and now is working as a clinical psychologist in the Raleigh/Durham area. So anyone in that area in need of a therapist, by all means, hit Jacqueline up. Bringing Brad back for the first time since the pandemic after he’d written his first book “Back From the Future,” he returns to discuss his latest BTTF related book, “Why We Love Back to the Future.” For anyone that’s gonna join the re-watch on Friday night, this is a MUST listen.
