Phenix City, AL (WRBL) – The Central Red Devils have a long lasting legacy on the football field. The Red Devils have won three state championships in school history, and three different head coaches have led Central to the top of the mountain. While each coach had a different game plan for their teams on Friday nights, all of the State Championship coaches and all the head coaches that have led the Red Devils had similar philosophies when it came to mentoring their players. It was good to develop football players, but it was more important to mold better men.

With their reloaded and talented roster the Auburn Tigers start the 2004 season with back-to-back wins over the University of Louisiana-Monroe, and a road victory over Mississippi State. Their first big test of this season was a home game against the defending National Champions the LSU Tigers. This was a throw back game to hard hitting, physical and brutal SEC contest. Eventually, Auburn would keep their undefeated record alive with a narrow 10-9 win over LSU. In this episode, quarterback Jason Campbell breaks down the last touchdown pass to Courtney Taylor that would eventually tie the game and set up the Auburn victory.

Eventually the balanced and powerful offense with Jason Campbell, Ronnie Brown, Cadillac Williams partnered with the stifling Tigers defense featuring Carlos Rogers, Junior Rosegreen, A.T. Williams-Neal, Will Herring and TJ Jackson powered the Tigers to an SEC West Division Championship.
