In the lead up to the 2024-2025 NBA season, there are plenty of things for the Milwaukee Bucks to mark off their to-do list. Media day, training camp, preseason, and trimming the roster down to its 15 man complement for the year to come. Lower down the list of exciting developments these days we can now regularly include the “reveal” of the team’s alternate uniforms and NBA Cup-specific court.

A jaunt through "sports" (and more)

I survived my third marathon yesterday. Better than that, I PR’d (again, thank God) and slashed a little over 15 minutes over my previous fastest time ( you can go here if you want to watch me stumble over the finish line). As is tradition, I will be getting my old time crossed off and a new one added to an ongoing tattoo collection on my ribcage. I’ve learned a lot about the body’s immediate needs post-run to avoid bombing out and ruining not only the rest of the day, but the days that follow. Writing this around 2 PM, I don’t feel the collapse coming on. All in all and on its face, a great day.

In a night full of mostly forgettable moments for the Milwaukee Bucks, their preseason debut against the Detroit Pistons was marred most by an elbow injury sustained by Gary Trent Jr. He sustained the injury from a Jalen Duren screen and exited the game to head to the locker room ASAP. The team officially stated he suffered from a, “left elbow hyperextension,” which denotes what happened and not what kind of damage he may or may not have sustained.
