Our 1975 MGB GT V8 has made a lot of progress recently, with the restoration moving from the bare heritage shell into the stages of mechanical and interior reassembly. Interestingly, the car is now beginning to look more recognisable again, but there is still a lot of work going on beneath the surface. Technician Rob has been rebuilding the car, and it's certainly coming along nicely.

JCB's hydrogen-powered Hydromax streamliner has set a new SCTA class record at the Bonneville Salt Flats, reaching an average speed of 368.347mph. Driven by Wing Commander Andy Green OBE, the 32-foot-long car broke the Southern California Timing Association's Blown Gas Streamliner (AA/BGS, 500+ cubic inches) record during Bonneville Speed Week.

If you were travelling at 368mph, you could cover the length of a football pitch in about half a second; and that's the incredible speed achieved by the JCB Hydromax, a 32-foot-long racing car powered by hydrogen. Driven by Wing Commander Andy Green OBE, the Hydromax has set a new speed record at the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, USA.

Almost £130 million of government and industry investment is being put into next-generation UK automotive technology, supporting projects covering everything from electric vehicle components and battery materials to autonomous vehicles, sensors and artificial intelligence.

Our Land Rover Defender 110 Pickup was first registered on 30th October 2008. It is a Defender 110 Single Cab Pickup, fitted with Land Rover's 2.4-litre diesel engine and six-speed manual gearbox. Its chassis number is SALLDHAS79A771891.
