Marion Harding's boys basketball team is on an 8-game winning streak, taking care of business three times last week.

ONTARIO — Pleasant's Stephanie Foos was the highest placing individual swimmer from Marion County at the Mid Ohio Athletic Conference Swimming Championships at Ontario.

Marion Star MARION — Max Oeken was perfect. The Pleasant Spartans weren't too shabby either.

MARION — When Rodney Brown was a teen, he was part of the Cardington boys basketball team that made a run to the state tournament in the mid 1990s.

MARION — Kile Sentieri had himself a weekend. The Marion Harding junior won his first Sally George Wrestling Invitational, taking the 175-pound class Saturday evening at Pleasant.

MARION — It was a cold week and a short week due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday, but teams tried to stay active despite it all.

NEW LEXINGTON — Out of 55 schools that sent athletes, Highland placed third as a team and River Valley sixth at the New Lexington Girls Wrestling Invitational over the weekend.
