Showers and storms will stick around in the forecast for several days. INDIANAPOLIS — Warmer to start the week with temperatures getting briefly above average for Monday.

More cool temperatures are expected over the next few days with just a few rain chances in the forecast.

Some lingering showers or storms are possible for tonight, but overall, the storms appear to be weakening.

Scattered showers will become possible for all of central Indiana late Tuesday and into early Wednesday.

Once this brief system moves away late Wednesday, the forecast pattern becomes drier and remains mild all the way through next week.

Most of Wednesday's showers are wrapping up or have drifted south out of the area. Now, a long quiet stretch begins.

Decreasing humidity will allow temperatures to drop a bit more Thursday night than over the previous, more humid nights.

The very pleasant pattern continues next week with every day in the upper-70s to low-80s, except for Friday.

Rain chances have slightly increased for Monday afternoon's forecast, but otherwise, the pattern still holds until the weekend.

Temperatures will stay in the 80s all week, which is typical for this time of year, with afternoon storm chances possible some days.
