On the night of July 31st, Ventura County Sheriff’s Department deputies attached to the Ojai Patrol Station were alerted to a brazen theft of merchandise in progress at a local area Rite Aid drug store.

In the early evening of August 2nd, Ventura County Sheriff’s Deputies attached to the Camarillo Directed Enforcement Unit (DEU) just happened to be cruising through the parking lots of the Camarillo Premium Outlets shopping center when their radios suddenly crackled with what VCSD spokesman Sgt, Jacob Holt described as “a theft in progress” reported by the commercial center’s private security team.

On the morning of April 23, 2022, Santa Maria Police Department patrol units responded to a report of a gunshot victim in a vehicle on the city’s West Main Street.

Early on the evening of August 4th , a 911 Emergency call reporting “a possibly armed subject” making violent threats brought Ventura County Sheriff’s Department patrol units attached to the Thousand Oaks Patrol Station quickly to the scene at a Thousand Oaks residence.

During the month of July 2023, detectives attached to the Ventura County Fentanyl and Overdose Crimes Units began acting on reports of illicit drug sales being conducted by 29-year- old Ventura resident Kevin Reynolds.
