Fowler and Amesbury Police Chief Craig Bailey are pleased to report that their departments collaborated to provide Active Shooter/Hostile Event Response (ASHER) training to more than 150 first responders, town officials and educators from around the region.

WINTHROP — Health Director Meredith Hurley and Police Chief John Goodwin are warning the community that there has been a dramatic increase in the number of overdose deaths in town this year, and they are urging residents to make use of multiple services that are available to help.

STONEHAM — Chief Matthew Grafton reports that the Stoneham Fire Department responded to a fire in a home on Franklin Street and a two-alarm fire in a home on Gould Street overnight.

LOWELL — Superintendent Greg Hudon reports that the Lowell Police Department, in collaboration with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), has unveiled a new police cruiser designed to raise awareness of the dangers posed by fentanyl and fake pills that look like real prescription pills.
