| Two Jersey City teens have been charged with burglarizing multiple vehicles inside a Secaucus development earlier this month.

The event, scheduled for May 18, attracts more than 30,000 visitors each spring and showcases the city's cultural scene, on Washington Street from Observer Highway to Seventh Street.

Gonzalez was initially charged with aggravated assault, but the charge was upgraded to murder two days later after the Regional Medical Examiner's Office's report came back.

Stevens, who was 40 at the time of the incident, testified at the trial, telling the court he was only defending himself from a man who had broken into his vehicle, Smith said.

At this stage of the investigation, the death does not appear to be suspicious, the prosecutor said. The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the state Regional Medical Examiner's Office.
