JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - The Mississippi Civil Rights Museum is again nominated for “Best History Museum.”
“Somebody named Jamya Atkins whited out IRS and put her name there,” said Reeves. “On the other one Dekerra Wade whited out IRS and put her name there [for] $4,900.00.”
“We know what happened in New Orleans, and it’s just two and a half hours down the road,” said Wade. “I am committed to make sure this is a safe event. I’ve lost count of how many preparation meetings we’ve had.”
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. would undoubtedly be thrilled to see that on his day of service, there is racial equality among those giving to the needy.
