If you’re planning to use a fireplace that's been sitting all year, experts are stressing you take the proper safety precautions.

The briefing is scheduled for 11 a.m.

Police said officers found a woman in her 20s with a gunshot wound to the stomach. They also found a man in his 40s with two gunshot wounds to the upper body.

HPD said Jermarien Jennings was wearing a blue jean jacket, black shirt, black shorts and black Crocs shoes.

The man was arrested on a capital murder charge and booked into the Harris County Jail, according to Gonzalez.
