FAIRHOPE ― The annual tree-tapping celebration of the Somerset County Maple Producers Association to officially kick off the maple season will be held at 2 p.m.
Because of the colder temperatures, the sap wasn't dripping Saturday.
Some producers wanted to spread it out over two weekends in case there was bad weather and now there isn't a rush to get to the next camp.
"This museum will attract people from all over because it tells the story of Pennsylvania's rich maple heritage," said Mark Ware.

Baer Brothers Maple Camp was on the Baer farm beginning in the early 1900s as a source of syrup for personal consumption and for trading.
"The community looks forward to our concerts and we want to continue that. We have a wonderful group who performs well together," said Jan Burkett.
"There has never been a more urgent need for increased community support. Cancer hasn’t stopped and neither can we," said Toshia Miller.
Caleb Antram was one of a few hundred exhibitors who brought their animals into the fairgrounds Saturday to enter into the fair.
