Electronic Arts forecast a potential record in net bookings for the current quarter, citing the strong launch of its new college-football videogame earlier this month. The game is a reboot of an older one that EA canceled in 2013 and a key difference is it features the likeness of more than 11,000 real student athletes. “We are building guidance on the back and strength of the initial start of college football,” EA’s finance chief, Stuart Canfield, said in an interview.
