Since the beginning of this year, St. Anthony Regional Hospital has operated as a Critical Access Hospital. A year ago, administrators from the local hospital announced their plans to apply for a Critical Access Hospital designation, which helps them keep essential services for their patients.

Earlier this month, the Iowa Economic Development Authority (IEDA) issued over $300,000 in tax credits towards a historical building.

Cloudy skies and rain have become all too familiar for Carroll.

In May, the Carroll Farmers Market will be every Wednesday from 3:30 to 5:30. From June to September, the Carroll Farmers Market will be every Wednesday from 3:30 to 5:30 and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Norm Schettler of Schettler's Garden has been a regular vendor for the Carroll Farmers Market for the past 40 years.

A Carroll High School student will soon have a closer look at U.S. history, cooperatives, politics and government.
