New polling from Emerson College shows the candidates in Montana’s U.S. Senate race are in a dead heat and the number of undecided voters is shrinking. However, the Republican candidate is gaining ground as the election nears.

Thousands of people are gathered in Bozeman tonight to rally with former President Donald Trump. Trump is in Montana to back Republican U.S. Senate candidate Tim Sheehy. Sheehy faces incumbent Democrat Jon Tester in the race that could determine control of the Senate. MTPR’s Shaylee Ragar filed this report from outside the rally on the campus of Montana State University.

Former President Donald Trump was in Bozeman August 9th to rally his supporters to back Tim Sheehy, Montana’s GOP candidate for the U.S. Senate.

Former President Donald Trump gave the Libertarian candidate in Montana’s U.S. Senate race an unexpected shoutout at his rally in Bozeman. The president said the candidate had a surprise announcement coming – but that’s not the case. Daoud said in an interview afterward that Trump seemingly implied the Libertarian would drop out of the race.

Montana’s high court reinforced protections for abortion Wednesday. The justices unanimously agreed that a law requiring parental consent for a minor seeking an abortion is unconstitutional.

A district court judge has denied Montana Democrats’ request to remove the Green Party candidate from the U.S. Senate race. Green Party candidate Robert Barb will appear on the November ballot under the court’s order. Barb will face Democratic incumbent U.S. Sen. Jon Tester, Republican Tim Sheehy and Libertarian Sid Daoud in the race.
