A few scattered storms are still moving across the region as we head into our Friday evening. Main threats are still high winds, localized heavy rains, and dry lightning. Storms should fizzle out going into the nighttime hours.

As we head into your Monday afternoon, heat won't be as bad as it has been, with mid-90°s for our highs. Rain chances are slim to none for today, with 10% chances of some isolated storms late in the afternoon.

We're waking up to mid-70°s and lighter winds as the kids are getting ready for their first day of school! This afternoon, dress for the heat as the entire region will be getting back into the triple digits after a few days in the nineties. Winds will be southwesterly at around 10-20 mph.

We're waking up to more 70°s outside as we start out our Wednesday, but this afternoon will be just as hot, if not hotter around the area compared to Tuesday. We'll see afternoon highs topping out over 100° for pretty much the entire region, save for our northerly counties, where temperatures may be just a few degrees cooler. We'll see southwesterly winds at 10-20 mph.

We're still tracking isolated storms around a good portion of the area this afternoon, heading into this evening. We'll see brief downpours, high winds, and the possibility of landspouts and lightning caused wildfires. Any storms fizzle out late tonight.

We're seeing another round of weak thunderstorms popping up around the region as we're wrapping up the work week. These storms will be windy mainly, and hopefully bring some good moisture before they fizzle out tonight.

As we head into Monday afternoon, prepare for more high heat, as temperatures will top out over 100° for most of the area, despite gentle northerly winds. In terms of rain chances, we could see some isolated activity to the south this evening.

We're waking up to some blustery outflow winds blowing through Amarillo as some storms are still going pre-sunrise to our north. These should fizzle out early in the morning, leaving us with partly to mostly cloudy skies. For this afternoon, we'll get daytime highs back up towards the triple digit range.
