The PhotonQBoost has officially opened Open Call II, offering European small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the photonics and quantum sectors the opportunity to apply for funding and support. Eligible SMEs can receive up to €40,000 for challenge-oriented solutions, up to €10,000 for training and services, and also take part in matching missions with grants of up to €610 (Czech Republic) and/or €830 (Germany) to cover participation costs. The call opened on 17 November 2025 and will remain open until 19 January 2026 at 17:00 (GMT+2).

The recap is out! The PhotonQBoost Matching Mission to Prague brought together Europe’s photonics, laser, and quantum technology players for three days of collaboration, innovation, and networking. From industrial optics and manufacturing to high-power laser infrastructures like ELI Beamlines and HiLASE, the mission highlighted the strength of the Czech photonics ecosystem.

PhotonQBoost was presented at the Photonics4Health Workshop, organised by Photonics Finland in collaboration with Kuopio Health during Health Insights 2026 (HI2026) in Kuopio, Finland. The workshop brought together photonics experts, companies and healthcare end users to discuss how photonics technologies can address real clinical needs and move towards practical healthcare applications.
