The game is just one of 11 taking place across Eastern Ontario. According to a news release from Hockey Canada, the pre-tournament Road to the World Juniors series will host games between Dec. 19-23 in Ottawa, Arnprior, Belleville, Brockville, Cornwall, Hawkesbury and Kingston. All ten teams will have a chance to play during the five days. “This year's World Juniors will celebrate hockey in Eastern Ontario, and we are thrilled to have these communities play host to practices and games leading up to Boxing Day,” Dean McIntosh, senior vice president of revenue, fan experience and community impact for Hockey Canada, said in the news release. “We know fans and volunteers in each community take immense pride in welcoming the world, and we look forward to seeing the excitement build as the 10 teams prepare to compete for a gold medal in our nation's capital.” The Kingston Frontenacs said tickets for the local game will be on sale soon and those interested should watch their social media channels for updates.
