NC State is 14-4 (6-1).

Kevin Keatts was fired prior to his team’s ACC tournament run last year. Done, toast, finished, doomed, bought out. But his team made a run, and Boo Corrigan had probably the most awkward week of his life. Kevin Keatts made himself a lot of money of the span of a few weeks.

Elliott Avent had positive injury news to share earlier this week, telling Pack Pride that starting pitcher Matt Willadsen and outfielder Josh Hogue both are expected to be ready when NC State opens the season next month.

They aren’t always going to come easy on the road, and NC State had a tough time for the bulk of the night, but in the end the Pack was able to get out of Syracuse with a win despite not having its A-game.

Kevin Keatts has been the NC State head men’s basketball coach for eight years, and I feel like I have a pretty good read on the man: jovial, sure; energetic and relatable, absolutely. But he is also relentlessly stubborn, a man who sets out with a certain strategy during the offseason that is both as aimless as it is shopworn, and who will talk you into its success. He is a good recruiter for a reason.
