During Covid, when the IBA was holding regular coffee chats on Zoom, I got to know one of the members living in London, Robert Ravelli. A renaissance man, Ravelli is the author of the “Car-Free” transit guide series for New York and Philadelphia. He was a Deputy Mayor for the City of Philadelphia Mayor's Office of Transportation. He has completed master planning projects in both the public and private sectors in the USA, UK, Eastern Europe, Russia, China and Australia. Now back in Philly, he does voice-over work with a voice that is, “warm, rich and engaging, reassuring, smooth, compassionate and sincere” and when not recording soothing words, you can find him ramping up the crowds as his alternate persona, DJ FunkOMart.
