It turned out to be a beautiful day despite the fog this morning. However, patchy fog will be possible again late tonight. Temperatures will stay steady in the upper 50s and low 60s through Tuesday morning. Clouds will increase by the morning, too. New Year's Eve will be mild, but we'll have cooler air arrive by Wednesday.

The next few days will be weather whiplash around here! Thanks to a warm front, we’re going to warm up overnight tonight into the low to mid 60s. Sunday will be a warm, breezy day with highs near 70. Storms are likely Sunday night, and a few may be strong. Much colder air will arrive by Monday morning.

Old Man Winter came in strong today! Temperatures will be dropping below freezing overnight tonight, and we’ll end up in the mid to upper 20s by early Tuesday morning. A breeze from the north and northwest will make it feel colder tonight, and wind chills will drop into the teens and 20s. A Cold Weather Advisory will be in effect through Tuesday morning. With temperatures dropping into the 20s, exposed pipes will need to be protected along with people, pets, and plants.

It has been another chilly day, and it’s going to be cold again tonight! Temperatures will drop into the low to mid 30s by early Sunday morning. Rain is likely Sunday evening.

SOUTH MISSISSIPPI (WLOX) - We’re in the thick of winter, and it has felt like it this month! Signs are pointing to another big drop in temperatures within the next seven to ten days. The WLOX First Alert Weather Team is watching the potential for more Arctic Air to reach the Gulf Coast by MLK Day.

We’ll be in and out of the sunshine today, and we won’t warm up too much. Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 50s this afternoon. Some clouds will stick around tonight, but we’re not going to see any rain. We’ll drop into the low 40 by early Wednesday morning. A big drop in temperatures is expected next week.

Soak up the warm weather today, because it’s turning cold tonight! Scattered showers will linger this morning ahead of a cold front. Some patchy fog is also expected, too. Rain chances will be lower this afternoon, but a few showers can’t be ruled out completely. It’s going to be a warm, breezy day with highs in the low 70s. A big cold front will bring colder air tonight, and we have the potential for pipe-bursting freezes multiple nights this week. Snow, sleet, and ice are also possible on Tuesday. A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for Coastal Mississippi.

It’s downright cold this morning! We’re seeing temperatures in the 20s, and the wind chill has been in the teens. At least we’ll see some sunshine today with highs in the upper 30s and low 40s. A Winter Storm will bring accumulating snow to South Mississippi on Tuesday. Travel will become very difficult, and a Winter Storm Warning will be in effect for all of South Mississippi.

It’s extremely cold this morning! We have started out with temperatures in the teens, and the wind chills have been in the single digits at times! Roads are covered in snow and ice, so traveling is still incredibly difficult this morning. We’ll get above freezing for a few hours this afternoon with highs in the mid 30s. Anything that is left on the roads and bridges today will refreeze tonight. Temperatures will drop into the upper teens and low 20s tonight. People, pets, pipes, and plants will need to be protected again!
