The only real blemish in this game for the Irish was the third-down conversion percentage. Legitimately-called penalties put the Irish behind the chains most of the afternoon. Fortunately, Virginia QB-Anthony Colandrea kept handing the football to Notre Dame and the Irish capitalized.
