Snow chances are becoming possible over New Year's week More dense fog will develop overnight, leading to low visibility on roads, especially rurally.

After tonight, clouds will start to clear up over the weekend and we should get some weekend sunshine! While milder this weekend, snow returns Monday and so does the very cold winter air.

The typical, January arctic chill is setting in for the next few days. Those that have fresh snow on the ground (...not Omaha...) could dip below zero degrees for the next few mornings!

Tonight will be our coldest night yet in this young winter season! Those with fresh snow on the ground could fall below zero overnight! The good news? We start a slow warming trend Wednesday.

We could see another chance at snow later this weekend Clouds start to move back in tonight, but it won't get as frigid overnight.

If you are sick of the cold, next week eventually gets much warmer

In true fashion, Omaha's weather is always changing. This time, it's a chance at a light wintry mix Saturday and Sunday, followed by another blast of cold air.

We could be back into the 40s later this week A few light snow showers will move in to northeast Nebraska and northern Iowa later tonight, from 11pm to 3am.

We are watching for significant cold weather early next week Skies will remain mostly cloudy for the rest of the evening.

This will be our coldest air of the winter season After some frigid mornings earlier in the week, we only drop into the mid 20s for Thursday morning.
